podCALGARY: The Calgary Podcasting Network

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

Welcome to the new home of podCALGARY, The Calgary Podcasting Network. podCALGARY is a network of podcast enthusiasts that meet to share our interest in podcasting (and our passion for beer).

Podcasting represents a new and exciting medium for both broadcasters and independent producers. This playing field is incredibly level and we want to see content from our community rise to the same acclaim as nationally broadcast content.

But just because something didn’t originate from Calgary doesn’t mean it’s not welcome here. In fact quite the opposite is true. We know that podcasting innovations happen almost daily and around the world. We want to help bring this news to Calgarians and make it relevant to our community.

There is a great deal of content already available from producers in Calgary and we intend to catalog as much as we can. We welcome your submissions and input.

Over the coming weeks we will continue to build our site, add links and prepare for our next podCALGARY Meetup. We will share the date and time with you here at podCALGARY.org - we hope you can attend.
