Chinook College offers Calgary’s first ever Podcasting Class
Have you been thinking about joining the podcast revolution? As Doug’s post stated earlier, Calgary is an “online” community, that means the 77% of Calgary’s 1 million residents are your potential audience. Author, musician, or someone with something to say, record it and they will listen. Okay, not quite that simple, but it is easier than you think and Chinook Learning Services in Calgary has just made it even easier.
October 21 and November 04 2006 they will be offering “Podcasting Made Easy” A class designed to get you in to the “podosphere”. It will focus on; planning your show, recording and editing, choosing a host for your files, building your feed and getting listed in a varity of directories. By the end of the 5 hour class you will be able to put together your own podcast and “feed” it to the world.
Now, if that was not enough, podCALGARY founding member, Daryl Cognito, is teaching the class. Daryl is the producer and host of The Poddog Show and Feed the Need, so you know you will not only learn, but also be entertained.
Okay, so the last part was a bit self serving, but I still think the class is worth checking out. If you have any questions, contact Chinook Learning Services, or hit my contact button in the side bar.
Chinook is also offering a class in blogging. I personally think that blogging and podcasting go hand in hand, so I think it is worth considering both of theses classes.
