Tim Knight from +nurse on the music industry, and why his band is packing it in.

This week on All Axis Radio, Tim Knight from the band +nurse sat down with me to discuss the struggles of the indie musician.
In keeping with our recent music discussions, I urge you to check out the interview. Tim brings up some great points about dedication to music, the North American entertainment market, and, most importantly, the factors that lead to the eventual breakup of his group and what could have been done to prevent it.
Your thoughts are always encouraged!

Hey Ajay,
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the Tim Knight interview, it was well done and very interesting. What Tim said made a lot of sense to me, especially the bit about “the letter of the law” vs.”the spirit of the law”. It’s too bad the band is folding but completely understandable. Hopefully he’ll remain in the scene in some other capacity. He’s too smart and passionate not to be involved somehow.
I appreciated the thoughtful answers Tim gave your questions, which of course can be attributed your interview style and Tim’s knowledge and creative spirit. It was quite refreshing to listen to an artist who has a grip of all the facets of the scene. Good stuff!
Take care.

Thanks for the comments, everyone! In addition to Karen and Audio Addict’s replys on theblog (By the way, still two of my favourite Podcasters), I’ve received some amazing voicemails regarding this episode.
Of course, an All Axis Radio episode isn’t complete without a voicemail from one of our best friends, Brent the Closet Geek (Closet Geek Show).
On top of that, I was VERY surprised to get some insight on the indie and local band market from Lord Mark Blevis (CanadianPodcastBuffet).
But the one that blew me away was a 4+ minute testimonial from Chad of Me & The Bean, Unedited, and Locals Only. You don’t want to miss what Chad had to say regarding the+nurse interview, and I’ll be playing it on All Axis Radio #54, which should be out this week.
Keep ‘em comin’, kids, and thanks again for the support!
